They start today’s show off by questioning how the Indiana Pacers could come out that lethargic last night in a critical game five. Additional, they question why Tyrese Haliburton doesn’t seem to want to rise to the occasion of having a huge performance at Madison Square Garden to prove himself as one of the best players remaining in the playoffs. (26:03-41:29) – Jake’s BFF, Derek Schultz, stops by the show at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to share his thoughts on Caitlin Clark’s debut last night with the Indiana Fever. Then, Jake, Jimmy, and Derek get into a debate as to what part of the body you are supposed to look at when defending a player in basketball. (41:29-46:52) – Hour one concludes with Jake and Jimmy having a brief discussion on Pascal Siakam’s next contract. They start having a debate if it’s time to consider whether he deserves to receive a max contract or not. (43:34-1:12:58) – ESPN.com’s Stephen Holder joins the program with Jake & Jimmy to dissect the game five loss the Pacers sustained last night, shares some of the comments from rookie minicamp and yesterday that he’s gathered on how explosive the offense should be with Anthony Richardson and Jonathan Taylor, agrees with Reggie Wayne that Colts fans haven’t seen Michael Pittman Jr. hit his peak yet as a wide receiver in the NFL, and then dives into some things that he’s hoping to see tonight with the schedule release. (1:12:58-1:28:35) – PGA Tour Radio’s Will Haskett joins Jake & Jimmy ahead of the PGA Championship this weekend to highlight the drama off the course for Rory McIlroy, explains what’s happened to Jordan Speith as one of the top golfers in the sports, assesses the chances of Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson making the cut and playing into the weekend, and highlights which groups he will have for PGA Tour Radio and ESPN+. (1:28:35-1:31:19) – Jake and Jimmy conclude the second hour of the program with Jimmy asking Jake a racing question that a casual race fan might have pertaining to today’s practice session. (1:31:19-1:58:00) – Former Indiana Pacer, Austin Croshere, joins the program again this week to share his thoughts on the lack of effort from the Pacers last night on the glass, breaks down what the New York Knicks exploited last night with the way the Pacers were defending Jalen Brunson, states that he expects to see Tyrese Haliburton come out and look to score early after a lack of aggressiveness in game five like he was in game one, and settles the debate between Jake, Jimmy, and Derek from earlier in the show. (1:58:00-2:13:32) – 1999 Indianapolis 500 winner, Kenny Brack, joins Jake and Jimmy live from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to assess the mental tole of sitting around and waiting to get on the track if you’re a driver with limited experience, reveals how long it takes for a team to really come together for the Indy 500, weighs in on which turn was the hardest for him, and offers some words of encouragement for people that are trying to work through a tough time in life.
