Additionally, they get into a debate about the future of Josh Schertz. (26:08-44:55) – Former Indiana Governor and Purdue President, Mitch Daniels, joins Query & Company ahead of the Purdue’s Final Four game this weekend against North Carolina State to discuss if he heard the fans wanting Matt Painter fired years ago. Additionally, he talks about how the professionalism aspect to being an athlete is starting to take over in college athletics. Finally, he applauds the job that Purdue has done over the years as an academic institution for its student-athletes. (44:55-50:16) – Hour one concludes with Jak, Jimmy, and Eddie discussing how their baseball teams are doing so far in their beer bet. (1:57:43-2:16:06) – Radio voice of the Purdue Boilermakers, Rob Blackman, joins Query & Company to give his perspective on the relief that the players had after winning the Elite Eight game last week, reveals that Zach Edey’s biggest focus on this season was to improve defensively, shares what kind of person Edey has been throughout all the success the last two seasons, and takes us through all the events that have taken place for Purdue this week.
