(00:00-23:26) – Query & Company opens on a Tuesday with Jake Query, Brendan King, and producer Eddie Garrison discussing the teaser that came out regarding the interview Andrea Kremer conducted with Colts owner Jim Irsay. This leads to Jake telling bits and pieces of Irsay’s story that fans and listeners may not remember or know when it comes to the Colts owner. (23:26-37:31) – President and Publisher of GoldandBlack.com in Alan Karpick joins Jake and Brendan on Query & Company to recap Purdue’s win over Gonzaga last night, debate if it’s possible for Zach Edey to improve statistically from last year’s season, how optimistic Purdue fans should be with Fletcher Loyer scoring two points in a ten point win over Gonzaga, access what Matt Painter’s team would look like if something were to happen to Edey, and previews the Boilermakers contest tonight against Tennessee. (37:31-41:11) – Hour one concludes with Jake asking Brendan and Eddie a trivia question pertaining towards the Wooden Award. (48:58-1:05:51) – Big Ten Network studio analyst and a columnist with The Sports News in Mike DeCourcy joins Jake and Brendan to provide his guess to the college basketball trivia question that he gave Brendan and Eddie. Mike also picks a team that is having early season success with the most continuity with their roster, what teams can learn from non-conference games that they can apply in March for the tournament, and accesses at what IU is missing. Finally, he rejoices with the Steelers firing Matt Canada this morning. (1:05:51-1:24:12) – The segment starts with Jake, Brendan, and Eddie sharing the story of Jim Irsay with Andrea Kremer doing a sit-down interview with the Colts owner about the struggles he’s overcome in his life. At the end of the segment, there was breaking news that the Colts have released Shaq Leonard. (1:24:12-1:28:52) – The one o’clock hour concludes with Jake, Brendan, and Eddie providing more details on the Colts releasing Shaq Leoanrd. (1:28:52-1:53:25) – The final hour of the show starts with callers sharing their opinion on the Colts deciding it was time to release Shaq Leonard. Jake, Brendan, and Eddie wonder why this was the time that the team decided to release Shaq. (1:53:25-2:08:32) – Jake and Brendan come back from break talking about Brendan’s hockey fandom. They take a call from a listener voicing his opinion on Shaq Leonard’s release before ESPN.com’s Stephen Holder joins to explain how the Colts came to this decision. Holder also dives into whether or not he believes Leonard will play another snap in the NFL this season with a different team and explains the contract situation if Leonard is claimed off waivers or not. (2:08:32-2:13:49) – Today’s show ends with Jake and Brendan voicing their final opinions on the surprising release of Shaq Leonard.
