Query & Company
The Colts and Gus Bradley Part Ways. Stephen Holder & Scott Agness Join!
07 Jan 2025
(00:00-23:33) – Query & Company opens on a Tuesday with Jake Query, Jimmy Cook, and producer Eddie Garrison discussing the news from yesterday that the Indianapolis Colts and Gus Bradley have “parted ways” and dive into some candidates that could replace him. They debate how coveted the job would be when you take a step back and look at it. (23:33-34:27) – Last night, the Indiana Pacers picked up their third consecutive win and going over .500 for the first time since game one of the season. The guys get into a discussion regarding the future of Aaron Nesmith and Obi Toppin with a report surfacing that Indiana is, reportedly, interested in Brooklyn’s Cameron Johnson. (34:27-41:50) – The first hour of the show concludes with Jake and Jimmy looking at the Colts roster in relation to where players are at in their prime. They tie all those players and examinations to Anthony Richardson. (41:50-1:11:44) – ESPN.com’s Stephen Holder joins Query & Company to provide his take on whether Gus Bradley’s “firing” is the only major domino that will fall this offseason for the Colts, admits that he would be surprised if there wasn’t changes made with the personnel on defense for Indianapolis, suggests that the job may not be as coveted as some of the other options, and shares his thoughts on the letter Jim Irsay sent on Sunday night where he made it publicly known that Chris Ballard and Shane Steichen will be back for another season. (1:11:44-1:23:09) – Scott Agness from Fieldhouse Files joins Jake Query and Jimmy Cook for his weekly visit on the program to evaluate the report that Indiana is interested in Brooklyn’s Cameron Johnson, agrees with Jake that Myles Turner is more valuable to the Pacers than most of the other teams in the league, and admits that the Pacers will have to make a consolidation move at some point. (1:23:09-1:30:13) – Hour two of the program concludes with Jake, Jimmy, and Eddie discussing the Indiana Pacers slogan for this season because Jake isn’t in favor of it, but the other two are. It leads to a conversation about other failures of team’s trying to create the new ritual. (1:30:13-1:56:25) – Jake, Jimmy, and Eddie start the second hour of the program by discussing the Jim Irsay decision at retaining Chris Ballard specifically. Jake highlights some reasons as to why Irsay would make that choice. Plus, they wonder if Irsay still has the Peyton Manning days top of mind thinking it was just yesterday. (1:56:25-2:01:59) – With Jake’s friends from Australia visiting Indianapolis the next couple of days, he shares a couple stories about how they met and the travel concerns that they have with the weather. (2:01:59-2:11:01) – Today’s show ends with the JCook Plays of the Day and JMV joining the guys in studio to preview his show!Support the show: https://1075thefan.com/query-and-company/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
