09 Jan 2024
(00:00-28:46) – Query & Company opens on a Tuesday with Jake Query, Jimmy Cook, and producer Eddie Garrison sharing their thoughts on the way the Indiana Pacers were able to defeat the Boston Celtics with Tyrese Haliburton leaving in the final minutes of the first half. Jimmy provides an update on Haliburton and Jake pays tribute to the loss of Jerry Wade. (28:46-44:46) – During the break, Adam Schefter announced that Mike Vrabel was fired by the Tennessee Titans. The guys debate what the future holds for the Titans and if Vrabel will end up being in New England if Bill Belichick isn’t back next year. (44:46-50:32) – Hour one concludes with Jake asking Jimmy and Eddie if they have played Rocket League recently. He also asks those two if they ever got into iRacing with their partnership with IndyCar being renewed. (50:32-1:17:55) – IndyStar Pacers beat writer, Dustin Dopirak, joins Query & Company to provide an update on Tyrese Haliburton after exiting last night’s game with a hamstring strain. Dustin wonders if T.J. McConnell can sustain a high level of play in larger minutes compared to twenty minutes, explains why it’s important for Haliburton to be ready for the All-Star Game based off the things the franchise has been trying to do with him, and breaks down the opportunity that Bennedict Mathurin has in front of him with Haliburton sidelined for the next couple weeks. (1:17:55-1:33:37) – Following their conversation with Dopirak, they shift their conversation back to the head coaching carousel with the firing of Mike Vrabel earlier. They share which coaches they would be calling first if they were a GM or owner of an NFL franchise with a head coach vacancy. (1:33:37-1:42:17) – The one o’clock hour concludes with the Jake asking Jimmy and Eddie what they will be doing now with all their weekend downtime now that the college football season is over and the NFL season is winding down. (1:42:17-2:13:03) – Colts beat reporter from ESPN.com in Stephen Holder makes his weekly visit with Jake and Jimmy to provide some details on the Jim Irsay news that was announced earlier today. Additionally, Holder discusses the situation that the Colts are in right now with Michael Pittman Jr., accesses how replaceable MPJ is if the two sides couldn’t agree to a contract and reveals whether he thinks Pittman will play on a franchise tag or not. Finally, he shares his initial belief on who could be backing up Anthony Richardson next year. (2:13:03-2:23:50) – With the significance of Tyrese Haliburton’s injury being a couple of weeks to a month, Jake asks Jimmy what the environment was like at Gainbridge Fieldhouse when he went down. They also share their thoughts on how the Pacers were able to come from behind to defeat the Celtics. (2:23:50-2:29:56) – Today’s show ends with the JCook Plays of the Day and Eddie sharing a couple bets!Support the show: https://1075thefan.com/query-and-company/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
