I've seen a very composed uh person every time he steps into the building. This guy um you know, might have had a little bit of goofy to him a year ago. And I use that that term uh with love and and now you just see a more serious player and intent every time I'm around him. And and I think his teammates feel that as well. Um

You know, he's getting to the practice field early. He's making sure he's his part is taken care of. He's he's warmed up, he's ready to go, he's staying after with the guys after practice. I think you guys see that on a regular basis. Um, and so he's taking a lot of pride in in his approach right now and it it trickles down to everybody around him. Um I I think it's a great thing and so well y I think he continues to grow up and he's gonna be a huge leader for us this year. And uh in that case, in that context I'm serious. Yeah, no, I mean I guess I I say that lovingly and it's it's like no, it it's just uh uh when when we step on the grass, you can kinda just see it like he's locked in. He's got his blinders on and he's he's only concerned about doing his job at a high level.
And uh th there were some times where maybe a year ago y you get sidetracked or distracted a little bit and and yet this year that has not been the case. This guy is he's serious about about his approach, his job and making sure he's taking his game to the next level.
I I think I can translate this from having been at Hallis Hall enough and having been around Caleb Williams enough that and it doesn't really take that much translation. Like the word f is befitting of Caleb Williams and kind of how he has carried himself. Like when you watch him on the practice field kind of joking around and slacking off a little bit, just the general goofy demeanor. However,
had a little bit of goofy to him.
I think that's an apropos word. And one of the the biggest things that we always talked about with with Caleb Williams when the baton was handed off to Ben Johnson was here you have this quarterback and Caleb Williams, who is loaded with talent in every way, shape, and form. But what he doesn't have yet, or what he doesn't know how to do yet, is to be a professional quarterback in every way.
