This episode is a recent Instagram Live that we have turned into a podcast episode. It needs to reach as many people as possible, because this conversation is important. I am so ready to have this conversation. It is one of the most controversial things I've ever had a conversation about. I've had this conversation so many times publicly, but never in this space reaching the masses all at once. I think it's easy to get offended when we are carrying so much on our hearts about what we've done as parents and as birthing people. All of the dreams and hopes and plans we have about having babies and the kinds of lives that we will live. All of the illusions of what it means to become a parent in this life. When I look at all the complexities and the layers of each of these conversations, it's been hard for me to have the conversation I want to have. I know that people are going to be triggered in a big way. I need you to know as a disclaimer, what I cover in this episode is not a personal attack on you.
