Kegham Balian è un trentenne armeno, la sua comunità è qui a Gerusalemme dal IV secolo d.C. Il loro quartiere nella città vecchia è il più piccolo e generalmente anche il più tranquillo. Alle 5 del mattino del 5 novembre scorso però sono arrivati i bulldozer. Hanno cominciato a tirare giù i muri, hanno spaccato l’asfalto nel parcheggio ma non sono riusciti ad andare oltre perché sono stati fermati da Kegham e dagli altri. I bulldozer li aveva mandati la Xena Capital di Danny Rubenstein, che vive in Australia e ha rapporti con i coloni estremisti. Gli armeni non sapevano che il loro Patriarcato in pietra chiara e un quarto del loro quartiere era stato venduto in segreto: così hanno fatto le barricate e intentato una causa legale internazionale.
