Welcome to another episode of the Daily Dad Podcast. I don't know if your kids are impressed by what you do. Mine definitively are not. In fact, I love to bust my balls about it as much as they can. But it's funny, I can tell everyone somehow they sort of get it.
They like what I do. They had some friends over to the bookstore the other day. They're running around and they wanted to show them the podcast studios. They come in the podcast studio and I see my son kind of pointing out my YouTube plaque because Daily Stoic crossed a million subscribers on YouTube a couple of years ago. And I can see him sort of bragging on it. And it was funny to see their friends be impressed by it, too, because like Kids want to be a YouTuber before they want to be an astronaut or a firefighter or something. So I don't exactly love that, but I do love that I have a little bit of cred, a little bit of currency. It's up on the wall. It was actually funny. A couple of years ago, we were watching some YouTuber, a travel vlogger that my kids like, and they were doing an ad for some VPN or something.
And my son goes, Dad, I think we need to get that. Which is, again, why kids are so susceptible to advertising. And I go, hey, bud, I don't think you need a VPN.
