Dai Henwood has been a part of the New Zealand comedy and TV scene for over 20 years. Starting as a stand up comedian he ended up as one of the team captains on 7Days, a role he held for over a decade. More recently he has hosted big mainstream TV shows like Family Feud, DWTS and LegoMasters. In late January 2023 he announced publically that he had been living with cancer for 3 years. At the time of writing this, treatment had included fourteen rounds of chemotherapy, high-dose radiation, three lung surgeries and having parts of his liver and bowel removed. But after the cancer spread to his lungs and lymph nodes, his oncologist told him the cancer was incurable.Naturally, there is a lot of cancer chat in this conversation. But there is also a lot of other stuff about his life and career which is important because, as Dai has said himself, cancer doesn’t define me.Thanks very much to Radix Nutrition for making this episode possible.Check them out and, if you like what you see, please support the people that support this podcast: https://radixnutrition.co.nz/ Hosted on Acast.
