Hi it's Adam here. Now this is a hypnosis session all about interview preparation because I was working with a client that had a very very high level job that they were applying for and it was the kind of job where there were lots of other candidates and they had to do lots and lots of preparation and they had tests and exams that they needed to do just as part of the recruitment process but
They really wanted this particular role for what it represents, but even the challenge of getting the role would be beneficial for them. Now, one of the things that they had to do to prepare is memorize lots of very technical data. So you're going to hear references in this hypnosis session about mind mapping. Mind mapping is a concept created by Tony Buzan.
which evolves the idea of the spider diagram. There's a central image right in the middle and then things go out and it uses association rather than linear scripting. And it's very, very good for creativity and recall.
Chapter 2: How can mind mapping enhance interview preparation?
This client wanted it for recall. Now, it has that element, but also it links to the qualities that they wanted to demonstrate in the recruitment process, like leadership, innovation, charisma, the ability to...
be synergistic and be optimistic they wanted all of these qualities to be demonstrated so there's an element of priming in this and also future pacing that things are going to go well but even if they don't get the role this is still a worthwhile endeavor and that's important because it lowers the stakes
If it's a win-win regardless, it's going to take the pressure off and taking the pressure off actually increases the probability that the whole process goes well. When – and I've worked with people that had the mindset that if I don't get this –
this is the the last opportunity i'm ever going to have my life is ruined if i don't get that suddenly there's lots of anxiety and lots of stress and lots of pressure because they framed it as do or die whereas actually if it's framed as okay it's going to be good whatever happens actually that is a huge advantage because that individual is going to come across as calm and composed
rather than anxious and scarce, almost a feeling of desperation. That's not a good energy to have in this kind of recruitment process. So if you can relate to preparing for an interview, and it might not even be an interview, it might be a date, it might be a business meeting, it might be an introduction to someone important and not a recruitment style interview, you'll still get some value from
from this hypnosis session and if you like the idea of something more bespoke or customized there will be links in the description or you can check out my website adamcox.co.uk to find out how to work with me for now though find a quiet comfortable place where you won't be distracted or disturbed relax and enjoy the session

Chapter 3: What mindset shifts can reduce interview anxiety?
Take a deep breath in. And as you breathe in, breathe in that resourceful feeling of calm and relaxation. And as you exhale, Give permission to release, releasing any tension, any stress, any worries. Just feel it gradually, incrementally, leaving your body every outward breath. And when you breathe in, breathe in deeper than you normally would, just slightly.
Breathing in a wonderful feeling of resourceful relaxation and continuing like a release valve to release any emotions that would get in the way of that flow state of preparation.
that's it, and just scan your body for any clues of stress, worry or tension sometimes it's there in the forehead or the jaw sometimes the neck or the shoulders and set the intention that if you find it you can release it that's it
just notice the weight of your body leaning down, that's it become aware of gravity in your own self notice where it feels heavier a leg, an arm that's it, notice the sounds if there are any even faint sounds, traffic in the distance
some ambient sounds just become aware, and they can be exactly as they are, passing through your awareness without needing your attention, and you've been to this place of resourceful relaxation many times before, you've arrived before,

Chapter 4: How do you create a mental space for preparation?
and your nervous system the part of you that runs everything quietly in the background knows exactly how to shift into a different gear all it needs is an invitation so take that deep breath in now just whatever breath is available to you
and as you exhale give permission to just let go that's it each breath takes you deeper and deeper relaxed that's it and i want you to imagine how you would feel if there was the ability
to slide into a room of preparation just in your imagination I want you to imagine the kind of slide that a child would slide down on in a park maybe brightly coloured maybe not but I want you to imagine this slide is for you perhaps a long slide
And as I count down from five to one, I want you to imagine what it would feel like to slide down the slide into what we will call a room of preparation. A room within a room within your mind, but let's slide down first and each descending number takes you deeper into a place where change happens. 5. Starting to descend the slide. 4. Just feeling limp loose relaxed.
Three, connect to that childlike feeling of fun and imagination.

Chapter 5: What is the significance of mastering knowledge for interviews?
And two, continue down the slide until one, you arrive there at the bottom of the slide and into a room of preparation. And let's consider this room a room entirely for you it's of your creation because it's your imagination but imagine even though it's imagination it can seem tangible it has dimensions color it feels solid
and notice the walls of this room they're covered not in notes and not in anxiety and not in the pressure of all there is to know but in maps mind maps a visual architecture of everything You've studied or want to study. You've synthesized or will synthesize everything you've come to understand.
Each map, a different theme, a different topic, vivid branches of color radiating from clear central images. relationships between ideas that you can see at a glance and perhaps even though each mind map is a different theme they're clustered in proximity to related themes i want you to get a sense that it feels like these mind maps
are a reflection of neural pathways thoughts connected to ideas connected to people or dates perhaps even laws and walk slowly around the room and notice that your eye is drawn to different sections cluster of color in one corner a clear image right in the center of something significant a branching structure and this room this room of preparation could be given context give it a door
Chapter 6: How can visualization impact interview performance?
perhaps make it a room that you know very well a room from childhood some people believe in creating a memory palace but a memory palace is just a metaphor for a three-dimensional world within your imagination
maybe you can visually remember a childhood home, and what if each room represented a different theme, and each room was filled with mind maps connected to different topics within topics related to that theme, you could navigate that memory,
and you wouldn't need to have anything tangible in order to do it, and as you look at this room, or connected rooms, notice that the knowledge isn't just sitting on the walls, it's already inside you, Because the very process of building these mind maps, of choosing the images, the colors, the branches, all of that is encoding.
Understanding of these concepts becoming not just knowledgeable, but attaining mastery of all of these connected ideas is a byproduct of creating these mind maps. Your brain has been doing the real work as a side effect while your conscious mind was busy researching, analyzing, capturing everything that you wanted to recall. The knowledge is already yours.
The preparation you have done and are doing is already working at every level of your mind. And don't be surprised if you can recall so much of this years from now. And if that's true, it will be easy to recall when you need it.

Chapter 7: What qualities should you embody during an interview?
i want you to connect to how you feel surrounded by all of this knowledge all of this understanding all of these insights innovations i want you to notice there is an absence of pressure an absence of urgency perhaps something that feels more like readiness That quiet, grounded readiness. The kind you feel when you've done the work.
Not the frantic energy of someone who's revising or cramming, but the steadiness of someone who knows. So let's hone in to that feeling of mastery. not the pretense of mastery, but actually being a master. Consider mastery the ability to hold complexity with confidence, to walk into a room with a great deal of knowledge, and to know which part of that knowledge is relevant right now.
To be able to navigate from the technical, to the strategic, to the human impact without losing the thread. And all of this, all of it increases your value to the world. In the very process of preparing, ideas that once seemed separate begin to connect.
Chapter 8: How can you prepare for various interview outcomes?
the way a technical detail in one domain illuminated something in another the way your understanding didn't just grow it organized itself anyone can regurgitate a fact but when you truly have the understanding you get to see a fact as a three-dimensional entity
and how it ripples and influences other variables and what if this journey enhances all of those skills you already have what if it enables you to unlock another level real mastery isn't about knowing everything It's about having a relationship with knowledge. A sense of where things are, why they matter, and how they fit together. You are someone who understands deeply and communicates clearly.
You move easily between detail and direction. Between the technical and the strategic. and not by accident because you see how they connect your knowledge isn't something you carry nervously it's something that runs through you like DNA and let's move forward in time and just imagine observing yourself
imagine a hologram of you, perhaps when the time is right, and I want you to see the questions that you're asked, you can almost read your mind about how you're answering them, see that version of you in the not too distant future, composed, relaxed, capable, And perhaps what's happening internally. The question. Leads to various themes. Those themes recall different mind maps.
The mind maps are then. Thought as to which parts of the mind map are relevant. And your unconscious does the hard work of. Synthesizing. All of that knowledge. Into coherent. relevant, useful insight that directly answers the question you're being asked. And I want you to see that version of you exudes the very qualities of a leader. How you're preparing is meticulous,
How you are handling a pressure situation is in a calm, composed way. I want you to see all of those leadership qualities not existing within you, but exuding from you. Leadership is not something you perform. It is something you are.
you have throughout your career brought people together around shared purpose you can see the refinements and slight alterations needed to bring out the best in someone else you create the conditions for others to think clearly and act well And all of that knowledge mastery does not make you dogmatic. You're flexible, open-minded when new, compelling evidence comes along.
You adjust thoughts and structures, harnessing the latest innovations, the latest knowledge, the latest insights. your mastery is organic not static it adapts when it needs to meaning that there is no one better placed to utilize innovation than you because your mind and your knowledge and your competency evolves proportionately
the world and the environment you interact with you are intentional you bring the energy and the focus you intend to bring not the energy of the moment before and because you intend to project what is true within you
