RTÉ chiefs past and present are preparing to grace the halls of Leinster House to appear before the Oireachtas Media Committee as the public broadcaster’s crisis rumbles on. Former RTÉ chair Moya Doherty has said the board did sign off on ‘Toy Show The Musical’, which ended up losing €2.3m, while other board members say the musical was presented as a “fait accompli” and that it was never formally approved. As big questions still loom large over former chief financial officer Breda O'Keeffe's redundancy package, will RTÉ ever break free of the scandal that has engulfed the organisation?
