Chapter 1: What reflections does Premier Chris Minns share on the Bondi Terror Attack?
New South Wales Premier, good morning, sir.
Morning. Hi. G'day, Kyle. G'day, Jack. Nice to speak to you guys. Nice to speak to you.
Yeah, lovely to talk to you. In person is nice, because you and I text, but chatting is a... God, I've missed chatting to you. How are you, Premier?
Good.
Yeah, no, no, I'm doing well. I mean, it's a sad day for the city and the state after such a difficult month. But, you know, I also think that there's a lot to be said for how resilient Australians are in Sydney and also the Jewish community. Kyle, they've been incredibly tough, incredibly resilient. They're mourning, but they've done it in such a...
with such grace and dignity that I think they've been an inspiration for the rest of us at the same time.
That's so true. I agree with that, yeah.
And gee, some politicians have not come out of this looking that good. You're not one of them. Everyone's a big fan of the way... You really rallied everyone together. You handled it so well. You were telling everyone what they needed to hear, that we needed to be safe, that we needed to keep our eye out for people that were trying to cause other people trouble.
Respect for all communities, no matter what your religious background or your ethnic background is. We all live here together. That's what makes this country great. What's planned today for the day of mourning for the survivors? of the horrific Bondi situation.

Chapter 2: How does Premier Minns describe the resilience of the Australian and Jewish communities?
If you've never done that before, Kyle, now's your opportunity.
There you go. I'm a big fan. And that's a great thing to do. Not just helping an old lady with her groceries, but giving someone the opportunity to survive. In the future, giving the blood's a great idea. We should all go down and give blood. Have you allowed, Brooklyn, your mob yet? Yeah, I think I am allowed now. Oh, finally, the gays are allowed. Okay, that's great.
Now, Premier, you've handled this whole situation. You've met with a lot of the survivors, the families of those that lost people. How are they all coping with this? It's got to be the most difficult thing anyone's ever gone through, ever.
Yeah, I mean, I think in different ways, people process that kind of trauma differently. You know, I don't know. I don't think you'd mind me telling the story. Alex, whose parents, both of his parents were killed, Boris and Sophia. He lives in Colorado, but he was back in Australia when they were killed. And I met him really late one night in Bondi.
He told me, as traumatic as it was to see the dash cam video of what happened to his parents, he was able to see that they died as heroes. I mean... It's pretty inspiring stuff when you can speak to someone that can speak so passionately about how their parents were killed, but how proud he was of them. And it brings home the reality of how horrible this crime was.
But even in the midst of all that evil and sadness, there's some remarkable Australians that did some incredible things. Absolutely.
And you met with Ahmed as well, the hero who brought the government down. Yeah, he's a character, eh? Isn't he?
Yeah. He's a cool guy, yeah. He's a cool guy. No, but he's a proper hero. I mean, he's still got bullets in him. I think he was saying on social media yesterday that he's still under attack for being such a hero, but we've got to rally around him.
Who's attacking him? You mean from people who agree with the offender's ideologies? Those types. Yeah, I think so. That's what he's saying. That's what he's saying on one of his social media posts. What I love the most about him was he's a Muslim man who interjected and has told everyone, this is not the Muslim faith. This is not what we stand for. This is a...

Chapter 3: What actions are recommended for the Day of Mourning?
Let's not second-guess this. Let's just sweep people out. Is that a possibility?
I think we need to send a clear message, an unambiguous message, that Australia stands for democracy and freedom and respect for people, regardless of your background and your religion. And if you're not prepared... to abide by those common principles, which are non-negotiable, then Australia is not the country for you. And we need to say it confidently over and over again.
I think that that is definitely the right message. Thank you, Premier. I know you've got a busy day. Thank you, Premier. Thanks for taking some time. Thanks, guys. Good to talk to you. Thank you very much.
