Homeless Figures Reach Record Highs: Calls For Eviction Ban To Be Extended

There was a record number of people marked as 'officially homeless' in January, according to the latest figures from the Department of Housing. The total number includes 8,323 adults and 3,431 children. There have been calls for the eviction ban which is due to expire in March to be extended. Richard Boyd Barrett, People Before Profit TD and Housing Spokesperson, and Karl Deeter of Irish Mortgage Brokers joined the Last Word to discuss.
