We're gonna look at what makes a successful RPG, who determines that and what are some of the criteria for determining whether or not an RPG is successful. I'm gonna talk about my experience of running 200 ghouls in one fight and how you too can run hundreds of monsters against your characters and not have it be completely overwhelming.
And we're going to cover more questions from the Patreon Q&A all today on the Lazy RPG Talk Show. I'm Mike Shea, your pal from Sly Flourish, here to talk about all things in tabletop role-playing games. I was out last week. I caught a cold and no one wants to hear somebody with a cold talking on a podcast or on a video. So I just took the day off instead.
I was also not having my RPG game, which meant I just took my day to relax, but I am better now. I feel great. And I'm very eager to be back on the show and love this show. It reminded me how much I love this show and love doing this show. And I'm always excited to talk about it. So I've been waiting all week for this opportunity for us to get together and chat about this wonderful hobby of ours.
So that means there are two articles that I want to talk about that I had published over on Sly Flourish this past week. One of them was how to get your group to play other role-playing games. You can find this over on SlyFlourish.com. You can also find links to this down in the show notes.
And if you want to get articles like this, future articles, one of which we're going to talk about, you can do so by subscribing to the Sly Flourish newsletter.
Best way to get the article sent directly to your inbox, no algorithms, no giant trillion dollar companies between you and me, just you and I having wonderful conversations about this hobby directly through email, the social media platform of the future, email. So how to get your group to play other RPGs was one.
article that i wrote and the other one was organizing your rpg prep notes i got really good feedback from both of these articles for patrons of sly flourish particularly hero tier subscribers of my the sly flourish patreon got access to two episodes of readings and reflections where
I read these articles aloud so you can listen to them in your car or while you're mowing the lawn or whatever you're doing, and then dive into some commentary about the topics. Some how did the topics come up? What kind of feedback have I heard? Some other little thoughts. It's sort of like the director's cut version of the article.
