Your teams, your town, your program. Polisic on the run. Polisic trying to cut it back and back again. That time it's in. That time the flag is dang down. That time it's 2-0 United States. This is the best in basketball. We do what we have to do. We do what we have to do.
Pierre and Fox across midcourt with five. Left wing handoff to Wimbledon with two. Takes a three that he misses. Too strong. It's happening, Knicks fans. It's happening. It's been 53 years. But for this moment, it was well worth the wait. The New York Knicks are NBA champions. They will be forever remembered as the team that proved no lead is too big and no guard is too small.
What a time to go. The net is empty. Ehlers scores! And the party is on for the KDX here and back in Raleigh.
Chapter 2: How is the World Cup action being analyzed?
The Carolina Hurricanes have won the Stanley Cup for the second time.
And now, a man who doesn't even golf when he's already three over on the day, Seren Petro.
Right you are, Kay. Right you are. Petro on the program on Sports Radio 810 WHB. Thank you for joining us here on a beautiful, beautiful Monday. It doesn't get any better than this. We're getting to where it starts to get hot and sticky. And what are we, like, topping out at about 80 today, I think, is what I saw. Doesn't get any better. Perfect day to go play.
And there goes Sorrent, and we'll take our first break.
All right, welcome back here on the program. I think. Seems that way. Allegedly. For now. Kyle, let us know. It was great when we're chatting away here and, like, we get a text that goes, yeah, you're down. You're talking to no one.
So much. I mean, what's bad is that those couple of minutes may be the best radio we've ever done.
Yeah. Yeah. It's like I always like to like, you know, if there was a great punch line, you know, come back. That's what he said. Damn near killed her. You know, come back with that. Everybody laugh. It is the program. A little technical switcheroo we made right there. Alex is in charge. And so we're in good hands. She immediately went, all right, we're making a change.
And so hopefully this will be working well. We're at the CNC Group Alpha Point Golf Tournament presented by Bank Midwest here at the beautiful National, staring at pictures of Tom Watson's championships. And there are a number of them. Redesigned golf course. Beautiful setup. Beautiful homes out here. Great backdrop here.
For the golf tournament that benefits Alpha Point, we would encourage you to get involved. You can check out Alpha Point. It's A-L-P-H-A-P-O-I-N-T-E. There's an E on the end. You can check out their website, see what they're all about, looking beyond what can be seen to what can be dreamed and realized. That's the first thing you'll see on their website.

Chapter 3: Who is Cameron Black and what is his role?
Your business partner is with Cody Campbell. Yep. Who funded the campaign for the guy who's doing what everybody across the country, including other government agencies, other state governments, and I'm sure at some point federal people are going to start weighing in on this. Everyone thinks it's wrong. Yes.
I mean, this is ā and if you're Patrick Mahomes, is this really ā like, he does everything he can to keep his quote-unquote image slash brand. In a good light? Is this really now every time you go down to Texas Tech, the association is it's been like, oh, that's tech, you know, nice, nice little Texas school out west. And, you know, they try hard.
And that's the place where Patrick Mahomes came. And there's the Patrick Mahomes logo on there. Do you want the Patrick Mahomes logo associated with the one university that everybody in this country cannot stand? that every sports fan thinks is insane, is ludicrous, is completely out of control, is totally wrong. Is that really what you want your brand wrapped up in?
I wouldn't think so. He's had to overcome a lot of things that have been thrown at him. This is just one more, and he's doing it in an offseason where he's got a couple other things he's got his mind on. And one more situation put in front of him.
I mean, isn't this a point where, you know, come on, dog. Yeah, come on, dog. Suspend this kid. Come on. Don't let him play. Come on, dog.
Yeah, I think, you know, listen, when you have ā It is preposterous. It is the kind of thing that if we were watching a movie about it, we'd be like, maybe not now, but a couple years ago, we would have been like, no way.
This is completely so far-fetched. Like the plot lines in Ballers or whatever. Nobody that happens to... One team every ā Yes. All at the same time or whatever, first and ten stuff. You're like, it's just so ridiculous. If this was plotted out, you'd be like, come on.
So I'll ask for a show of hands, Kyle, Curtis, your thoughts. We did this ā I think we did it as there can be only one last week. Does he play this year? Does Sorsby play football for Texas Tech or anywhere this year?
I think he does. I still think he does. I mean, I think the odds are getting greater that they'll be put into a position where they really can't. At this moment, though.

Chapter 4: What drama is unfolding with Texas Tech?
Let's take a break. You know, we haven't taken enough breaks yet. Do we have time to take a break? I want to take a break and get Cameron in here. Kyle, what do you need me to do? I know you're scrambling back there, too, buddy. What's. Okay, we'll take a break here, and we come back. We'll talk with our buddy Cameron Black.
We're at the CNC Group Alpha Point Golf Tournament presented by Bank Midwest at the beautiful National. Wonderful golf course. You can learn more about Alpha Point by going to alphapoint.org. All right, welcome back. You're in the program here on Sports Radio 810 WHB. Soren Petro with you as we are broadcasting live at one of our favorite places. We are at the C&C.
The National is one of our favorite places. Oh, yeah. But when the golf tournament comes here, we always enjoy it. The C&C Group Alpha Point.
golf tournament uh presented by bank midwest and we are pleased to be joined by our friend we talked to him last year cameron black works at alpha point cameron is uh is blind uh and he is the content and community relations specialist the bigger the title cameron you know i know the bigger the check right that's how it works uh that yeah that's that that should be how it works
We'll say that you're doing a lot of work in that sentence.
Yeah. Yeah. Listen, I know the golf tournament here is one of the one of the bigger revenue generators for Alpha Point. Let's talk about, first of all, what Alpha Point is. Tell everybody about what Alpha Point does.
So Alpha Point is really what we like to say is we'd like to meet you wherever you are at in your journey of vision loss. So we provide employment opportunities to working age adults who are visually impaired or blind, but we also provide rehabilitation services to people who are visually impaired or blind.
Perhaps they have recently lost their vision and they're trying to learn how to adapt to that lifestyle of vision loss and live independently and live confidently. And as we'd like to say, not just live, but thrive with vision loss. So we work with adults of that nature.
Um, we work with people in our low vision clinic who are going through visual impairment, perhaps due to diabetes or due to macular degeneration or things of that nature. And they really just want to live in their own home and they want to age with dignity and age in their own home. And of course, we also work with blind and visually impaired youth, which is why we are all
