Hello, chaps. Good to see you again.
Dan Moyland 1:50
Good, yeah, yeah. You just avoided a torrential rainstorm. It's been all four seasons in one day on the day of the Brentford game. We are recording, seven PM, straight after the um the press conference has ended. What's your take from it from uh from that first difficult home game of the season? Yeah, it was difficult, wasn't it?
Beren Cross 2:06
Brentford are very, very good, very, very effective. That felt like the first time in a long time that I'd seen leads properly rattled. Um it feels like that that shape that they've been in since since City Away last season has been pretty solid for for large periods. I know that you know uh they obviously did le lose some games after that last season and there were a few draws, but It just felt like first half today they just couldn't lay a glove on Brentford. Anything they tried wasn't coming off. Basic passes were being misplaced. Um it seemed like Brentford had an extra man on the field in every department. Leeds just looked overrun everywhere. They're really struggled to get into them, but Again, as we said a few times last year, they hung in there, managed to change formation a couple of times and ultimately found the answer and have come away with what I consider to be a very, very good point, uh, given how how poor it was in that first half.
Dan Moyland 2:48
Mm first half I was a little bit not worried is not the right phrase, but I thought this has already got away from us quite early. We didn't we didn't look great and you begin
Michael Normanson 2:55
mentally writing it off, don't you? Going, Well, go again next week 'cause this
Dan Moyland 2:58
is not looking great. But y but then again, I know we are made of um of stern stuff these days. And we we did face a little bit of adversity, didn't we, in terms of like losing Rodon and changing um well, personnel, first of all, Elverdi comes on and then Be All goes off at half time, which I thought was really interesting. 'Cause you do wonder if he'd been minded maybe to make that change um initially when Rodon goes off, do you keep B H All on?
