Tid er penger har gleden av å ha Dr. Steve som gjest i dagens podcast, der vi får stille mange dumme spørsmål rundt diverse kreftbehandlinger som er under utvikling i dag, som han kan svare på i dybden. It's being researched for various cancers, including pancreatic cancer and melanoma.  4. *Immune Therapy (PDL-1 Inhibitors)*: Antibodies created in the laboratory to help the immune system recognize and attack cancer cells, used in a variety of cancers.  5. *CAR-T Cell Therapy (Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-Cell Therapy)*: A treatment where a patient's T cells are engineered to better recognize and attack cancer cells, currently approved for certain blood cancers like lymphomas and leukemias.  6. *Viral Oncolytic Therapy*: Uses viruses, such as the measles virus, to infect and kill cancer cells, particularly being researched for multiple myeloma.  7. *Proton Beam Therapy*: An advanced form of radiation therapy that uses a beam of protons to precisely target and kill cancer cells while sparing surrounding healthy tissue.  8. *Monoclonal Antibodies*: Proteins manufactured in the lab that can target specific antigens on cancer cells, used in various cancers for both treatment and diagnostic purposes.  9. *Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors*: Targeted therapies that block specific enzymes (tyrosine kinases) involved in the growth and spread of cancer cells.  10. *Research on Universal T-Cell Receptor Targeting Cancer Cells*: Early-stage research into T-cell receptors that can recognize and kill a broad range of cancer types via a specific protein, potentially leading to a more universal cancer treatment.   Hosted on Acast.
