15 Jun 2023

Description

In a small Canadian town in the 1970s, the shocking murder of Helen Betty Osborne sent shockwaves through the nation and exposed deep-rooted societal issues. Helen, an Indigenous Cree woman, was a bright and ambitious 19-year-old who dreamed of becoming a teacher. However, her aspirations were tragically cut short on November 13, 1971.While walking home from a party in The Pas, Manitoba, Helen was abducted by four white men. She was taken to an isolated location where she was brutally assaulted, sexually violated and ultimately killed. Her body was found two days later, bearing the painful scars of a senseless act of violence.--Music Composed by: Sayer Roberts - https://soundcloud.com/user-135673977 // shorturl.at/mFPZ0Join our Patreon: www.patreon.com/tntcpodMerch: https://www.teepublic.com/stores/true-north-true-crime?ref_id=24376Follow us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tntcpod/Follow us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/tntcpod Hosted on Acast.
