Welcome to the True Travellers Society Daily Podcast! Today is November twenty-first, twenty twenty-five. I’m excited to bring you stories that show how conscious travelers and volunteers are sparking positive change worldwide. Our top story highlights moss—a tiny plant—that just survived nine months in the vacuum of space, offering hope for sustainable life beyond Earth! First up: Moss spores demonstrate climate resilience, inspiring future planetary explorers. Eighty percent of moss spores, exposed outside the International Space Station for over nine months, returned to Earth ready to reproduce. Why does this matter? On future missions to the Moon or Mars, self-sustaining ecosystems are critical—and moss is small, resilient, and capable of making oxygen even under tough conditions. According to Professor Tomomichi Fujita from Hokkaido University, moss could be planted on barren planets to jumpstart clean air and create soil for food crops.
