Episode 7: Emily Mannix Emily Mannix is a kid from country Victoria who loves her family and having a laugh as much as she loves sport. She was initially taken by individual sports like cross-country, swimming and surf lifesaving, but it was netball and being part of a team that stole her heart from age six. As a Melbourne Vixen and Australian Diamonds player, she has experienced winning championships at the highest levels, to being dropped from the national team, and everything in between. Through it all Emily has discovered her inner strength, developed resilience and learned to speak up in the face of challenges. As a senior player, she loves nothing more than helping to support and grow her younger teammates and is finding a new voice off the court as a co-host on the BackStoppers Podcast presented by Deakin University.
