Enneagram Ones, or the Perfectionists, often have an idealized view of how things should be and constantly strive to improve themselves, others, and the world.  With a strong desire to do the right thing and not make mistakes, Ones tend to control feelings that they deem inappropriate to the point that it is difficult for them to access or express negative emotions, such as anger, fear, or even anxiety. But learning to understand that all emotions are actually very human and a part of each of us can be very healing and freeing for a One. On today's episode, Ian sits down with friend and author, Amy Julia Becker, to talk about how admitting her own needs, and learning to accept herself as beautiful and broken, vulnerable, needy and gifted has been a huge life lesson in perfectionism.
