Yeah, I feel a lot of relief, I would say. Yeah. Yeah, it's been a crazy year to think that, you know, Oh, it's like exactly one year from when we started. So that much in a year, it's a lot.
So it feels like... You had a lot in a year. You had one hell of a year. That was a whole lot. Yeah. I'm feeling good, though. Okay, good. When you came out on the reunion and you were so nervous and we were all like, we love you. I was so nervous. Yeah. Well, it's like I don't... couldn't tell you the last time I've probably ever spoken in front of like that many people. Yeah.
It was like 200 people or something. So I can barely get any words. I was like about to throw up. But how cool was it that you had like everyone that had been in a similar situation? I think that made it better. Like once I just looked at the crowd and started looking at people's faces, I was like,
Chapter 2: How did Jordan feel after the reunion and the announcement of his divorce?
And I talked a little bit and just got my feet under me. I was like, okay, I can, I can. Yeah. You're so fun. Okay. At the reunion, we found out that you and Amber are no longer together and are getting a divorce, which is honestly very, very devastating to hear. Um, I know many viewers, myself included, we're rooting for you both. How are you feeling about all of it? Um,
You know, there's a lot of thought and deliberation that went into that. I think there were a lot of opportunities for it not to end that way. Now, you know, now that it's, you know, that was eight months ago or something. So now it's like I'm just ready to move on and get done with it. Get the paperwork signed. We need to send her stuff in so we can finish. Uh-oh. Uh-oh.
Okay, before we get more to that, let's go back to the beginning of your journey. Tell me about your journey to Love is Blind. How did you get involved? How did you get on the show? A friend of mine, my friend Brandon was interviewing for the show or something. interviewing for the show and he decided that he didn't want to do it and said, you should get a hold of this guy.
And so they sent me a DM and like, hey, do you want to chat? Like, sure, I'll check it out. That's funny. Had you watched the show before? I saw, I think, the first and second season. That was when they came out. So, you know, I knew what it was. Yeah, but that was eight, nine seasons ago. Yeah. We didn't get to see too much of your experience in the pods.
Did you have any other connections besides Amber? Yeah, Alyssa and I had a good connection. Oh, really? Yeah. It was, I think, a funny relationship. We were just laughing the entire time. Okay. So was she, like, on your one, two, three, four, five? She was my number one for a while, actually. Oh, okay. And then I think the conversations just kind of got stagnant after a little while.
Whereas, you know, Amber and I was, you know, picking up a lot of steam. Do you wish more of your pod relationship with Amber was shown? Um... I mean, yeah, I think it encapsulated a lot, but there was so much, you know, you put so much time into that. So I think that, you know, my scenes are pretty funny. I was always eating something. Right.
Speaking of eating and be completely honest, were those cookies as good as everybody said they were? I love them. Yeah. It's my mom's recipe. Oh, yeah. I always ask for them. I should have brought you some of those. I don't like to fly with food. OK, next time. Thank you. Before meeting Amber, where did you stand on having children? Let's get right into it. Yeah. Yeah. So my big thing is.
Like having kids, I've always been open to it. I went into it not wanting to meet somebody that already had a child. My rationale was if I'm going to raise a child, I would like it to be my own. And obviously we saw that that changed a little bit. Um, so you wanted them is what you're saying.
I was, I was open to, I was kind of undecided, um, through this and, you know, really bonding with, with her daughter. I'm like, yeah, I think it'd be great to be a dad. Yeah. You know, I think you'd make a great one. Thank you. You seem pretty nice. I don't know. Um, but one of the most viral moments from the show has been Amber's posing behind the sliding doors before the reveal.

Chapter 3: What was Jordan's journey to getting on Love Is Blind?
We got along pretty well at first. I think he came in reserve like he did not. any part of being on the show or anything like that. But we started talking and found some common ground and similar interests and things started to open up. And at that point, we were friendly. So it went about as good as it could have. Yeah, I can imagine.
You had your first disagreement after the pod meetup when Amber overheard you talking to the guys that you were scared to meet her daughter. Walk us through that night because it's a little. Yeah. I think I was. So Vic is a guy that I trust a lot. He was one that I went to for just, you know, to to confide in through pods and then afterwards.
And so I was telling, you know, my worries of moving forward, which I think were pretty reasonable. You know, I've never met a dad or obviously never been married. So I was just voicing where some of my concerns were or fears, you know, of what that could look like. Like, I don't know, what if it goes wrong? Just kind of voicing some of those out. She overheard that.
And I do feel like her and I had discussed some of those first. But in that moment, the fact that, I don't know, maybe I was discussing with the guys, she did not appreciate that. Yeah. How long did it take for her to come back and talk to you after that fight? Like two days. Two days? Yeah. Did you reach out to her at all? The producer is dead, which was nice.
Okay, you said you're trying to share your feelings with Amber. Was I trying not to say that? No, that's okay. You're fine. You said you were trying to share your feelings with Amber, but it felt like a one way street.

Chapter 4: Did Jordan have connections with anyone else in the pods besides Amber?
Yeah. The first I'd say the first three dates, you know, she just kept like talking about her patients at work. And I'm like, what are we talking about? Yeah. And so I think maybe it was our third date. And I was I was going to not put her on my list for the next day. And I was like, you have to show me something here. Like, I think that there's more substance to you. I think there's more depth.
You got to give me a little bit. And then the next day she did. So I was like, okay. We're making some progress here. Yeah, I heard about a lot of patients at work and things like that. Just a lot for date three when time is of the essence. And truly. Yeah. Okay. It seemed like Amber was pretty guarded and carried some trust issues from past relationships.

You know, there were times where I think being around some of the other couples, maybe it was easier to have people around to talk to, talk through some of that stuff. But yeah, that stuff just kept coming up. And it was, you know, I'm empathetic for that because, you know, you don't want to see anybody go through those experiences, be mistreated in relationships. And so that sucks.
But I also don't want to be on the receiving end of that either. So I think there was some healing that needed to be done. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. When you did finally get to meet Emma, what was that meeting like? You know, she was really shy at first. My brother's a little presence. And so she warmed up to me. And by the end, she was like trying to climb on me. How old is she? Seven.
She's eight now. That's a great age. Oh, my God. We had fun. Did it ease any of your anxieties about becoming a father figure? Yeah, honestly, it was like. Yeah, it was like eye opening. I could definitely see myself doing this. Yeah. You know, before I was pretty uncertain. I just didn't know. I have nephews too. And obviously I get along with those guys great. Right, right.

Okay, so Jordan, before we go, we need to know, what was your overall experience and your takeaway from Love is Blind? It was amazing. I think for me, I had a lot of personal growth. One thing, it helped me a lot with dating overall because it made me a lot more mindful and thoughtful about the things that I'm asking and just being more in the moment. I think it's so easy to get distracted.
um i think just being more empathetic to people in general because like in 10 minutes you learn so much like everybody has so many layers to them whereas you know it's easy to brush people off especially life moves so fast but um Another thing is like I felt kind of brought back to life in some ways as I work remotely and I have for the past six years.
And so I mentioned the lounge, but it's like being being around 15 other guys who were in similar situation, pretty much the same age. I was like, I just felt like. Breath of life breathed back into me. So that was that was a huge takeaway. So I felt like I walked away feeling more like myself, which is a weird thing to say. But I get it. Yeah, it was it was great. I really enjoyed it.
seeing you on the reunion and you seem like you've come a long way. You seem very happy and healthy and you said you're in a relationship now, which I love to hear. We were all rooting for you. We're obviously rooting for Amber and just in general rooting for love. And I'm just really happy that you stopped by here at What's the Reality and said hey to me and gave me some tea.
