Episode 112: Topic: Leadership Coaching Part 1

If you've coached an individual within the NHS there is a good chance that you have been called upon to have a conversation around leadership.   Not necessarily about the mechanics of the leadership role but perhaps around how the coachee shows up and how they interact with other people.   Leadership presents itself throughout organisations and often those without a defined leadership role are taking responsibility for heading up certain initiatives or leading on certain aspects of the culture.   Tom has been coaching leaders for 15 years and has found that the main topic of conversation in the coaching room for leaders is other people and the relationship dynamics that the coachee is experiencing and perhaps struggling with.   Beyond their people issues, leaders often use coaching as a safe space to explore their concerns, their worries and their insecurities.
