Episode 22: Coaching Tools: Conflict Style Matrix

Whether we view tension within a work or social relationship as conflict, or just the other person being awkward, we will all have our own way of approaching these potentially difficult situations. In this episode we explore how you might help your coachees to understand their approach to difficult situations with others.      A great tool to use when discussing conflict styles with your coachees is the Conflict Styles Matrix, which stems from the work of Thomas and Kilmann.   We'll also look at how a coachee might flex their own conflict styles in different situations and how this might lead to them experiencing more positive outcomes.
