We regularly see psychological and coaching models being shared on social media, in blogs and discussions, and sometimes the sharing sets our teeth on edge. "What's the cause of this mild irritation?" you may ask. Well we like to try to get our information sharing right and we carry out plenty of research around the subjects we talk about on our podcast. But we know that not everyone does the same. So when we know that information is being misrepresented or misinterpreted in some way, we have a slight reaction to it. Ikigai is one of those models that has become a phenomenon online in a way that's not particularly helpful. In this episode we would like to do a little mythbusting around Ikigai and help to ensure that you, as a coach, are sharing the right information with your clients. We will talk about the origins of the diagram, why it's not Ikigai, and what Ikigai actually is. Resources: Enjoy the podcast? It would be great if you left us a review here.
