15 Jan 2026
Chapter 1: What is the Christmas Cocktail Special about?
Flesh one and Hayley's Christmas Cocktail Special. Welcome to the Christmas Cocktail Special. Our live show and big pod is back Monday the 19th of January after a holiday.
Let's go to Melbourne. Love Melbourne. Simone from Melbourne. Hi Fletch, Fawn and Hayley and the entire show team. My name is Simone. I'm 23. I'm from Melbourne and I work in managing and work managing slash making social media content for brands. I discovered you guys this year through your TikTok.
Probably a girl math.
No, it was when did you catch your parents?
Chapter 2: How did Simone from Melbourne connect with the hosts?
Add it.
Oh, God.
Since then, I've listened to the show every day and I've had so many laughs, especially at work. My Christmas message is to say thank you for always being yourselves. You've gotten me through what has been a really challenging year, the hardest part being in July when we lost our beautiful nine-year-old Labrador, Aisha, to cancer. Oh, that's sad.
But listening to you guys has really made me feel better and hopeful in many ways. As much as it's been a hard year, I'm also proud of myself and my family. Mum, Dad, two older sisters and a dash hound called Frank. Dash hound, Frank. Dash hound, as we've continued to bring joy into each other's lives. The highlight of my year was my sisters and I needed a quick getaway from this year.
So we went to Tasmania for four days.
As we are expressing we would love to do. We'd love to go there.
It was so much fun and beautiful to see. Plus, when we got back, we got cheap last-minute tickets to the Friday's live concert with Pitbull as one of the artists and had a blast. Yeah. Worldwide. The juiciest moment of the year was finding out one of the guys at work was going on a holiday with a friend whose fiancƩ decided she wanted to leave him on the day of the wedding.
The holiday that my colleague is going on is a fully booked honeymoon overseas with the groom.
Wait, what? Wait, you could just change the name of the ticket? Yeah.

Chapter 3: What challenges did Simone face this year?
I just imagined them arriving to a room full of rose petals on the bed and everything couple-themed, but there's two dudes.
Yeah. Brothers. Probably just have to fuck anyway, right?
You'd have to fuck. You'd just give it a bump, mate. You just have to, yeah. Yeah. We're here. When in Rome. Yeah.
When in Rome. Yeah.
If I were to come back as anything other than a human, it would be a butterfly, because every time someone would look at me, they would think, I look so pretty with my colours and my pants. Plus, I'd have a glow-up from a caterpillar to a butterfly.
That's got to feel pretty good. Yeah, no.
Callum from Auckland would like to say, Fletchmore and Hayley... Carmen and Shannon, Merry Christmas. Happy Holidays. I always mean to submit a Christmas shout-out, but I keep forgetting. In that fashion, I'm writing this at the last minute on the cut-off day. It's been a long year, full of firsts for me. This time last year, my wife and I moved to Auckland from Melbourne.

Chapter 4: What was the highlight of Simone's year?
Yes, I know that's the wrong way.
No, it's not the wrong way.
The guy at customs is also confused, but honestly, things aren't that much greener on the other side. At least here we have good beaches and a family. I have a new job, a house, and as of the end of September, my first child. Your podcast has been music in my ears for far too long to admit, even since the days on the periphery.
Oh, that's a good one. On the periphery is good.
It's hard not to form an emotional attachment to people you listen to every day, to be honest. Please keep on keeping on. And can we stop counting birthdays? It's too hard for me. Not just Hayley. Highlight of the year.
One of my early 30s, by the way.
Early-ish. The birth of my gorgeous daughter.
I keep saying it's mid. It's mid.

Chapter 5: What juicy moment did Simone share about a colleague?
It's not late.
Can I just say that as a newly minted girl, when I get it, I've cried more times since her birth than the rest of my entire life. It has decided I'm going to have to build a shed to go and hide out in. It sounds like it's been a tough year.
The listeners have really picked up on your year, Vaughan, haven't they?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Inspiration. Keep up being awesome. Juiciest moment of the year, I was the guy who came up to Carwin and Shannon at the comedy gala and said how much I like you guys, much to the confusion of your partners. I haven't met Hayley or Vaughan, but I did see a very surly-looking fletch leaving the gents that night.
You should be quite happy when you're leaving the gym. We were happy at the comedy gala.
Oh, a couple of drinks, was it? Yeah, okay.
Oh, yeah, man.
Did I go to the comedy gala this year?
I fucking hosted it.

Chapter 6: What personal milestones did a listener from Auckland share?
Highlight of the year, we'll be hearing the shout out on the Christmas cocktail special.
We should make it special in some way. There you go, Shannon. Thank you.
That's perfect. Juiciest moment of the year, getting diagnosed with depression and finally realising it's okay to reach out. Juicy. And it makes the sound effects seem inappropriate.
Yeah.
D-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-depression. Jesus. Don't worry, it runs in my family. You're right.
Hey.
It is okay to reach out, actually, Chris. It is okay. It's encouraged. Absolutely. It's absolutely encouraged. Anytime. Thank you for sharing. Reincarnation choice, definitely a cat. Nothing would be better than getting to lounge around and nap all day in the sun. No, you've got to get out. You've got to get out. You've got to keep moving. Keep moving. Keep on moving. Don't let it catch you.
Don't let it catch you. Don't let it catch you. I think that's a sure one. What are we feeling? Do you want another one? Are we going to do another one? Well, my drinks are a bit empty. Yeah, I'll do this one and then we're going to stop and refill our beverages and come back and knock this thing on the floor. Love that, love that.
Love that. What are you doing on your phone, Fletch? Um, I've just got some... No, give me... No, I've got some goss that... Where's your fucking phone? No, it's... Have you ever... Okay, this is the greatest thing. No, it wasn't naughty. Have you ever touched Fletch's phone and seen the rigidity in his body? Mm-hmm.
