Im Juli 2021 haben verheerende Überschwemmungen unter anderem diejenigen Orte in Nordrhein-Westfalen heimgesucht, in denen ich wesentliche Teile meiner Jugend verbracht habe. Das hatte zur Folge, dass Wirtschaftskunde-Rüdiger mir Kontakt zu seinem Bruder Daniel Bachmann vermittelt hatte, und der wiederum ist Professor für Hydromechanik, hydrodynamische Modellierung und Hochwasserrisikomanagement an der Hochschule Magdeburg-Stendal.
