Characterization of neutralizing antibodies against emerging XDV, XEC, and LP.8.1 variants across heterogeneous hybrid immunity backgroundsCitationJournal of Infection, 2025; in press概要本研究は、SARS-CoV-2 JN.1系統から派生した新興変異株（XDV、XEC、LP.8.1）に対する中和抗体応答を、異なる免疫背景（オミクロンBA.2.3ブレイクスルー感染後、Ad5-nCoVワクチン接種後、一般集団、XBB.1.5三価ワクチン接種前後）で比較評価した。結果の概要全体として、BA.5に比べXBB.1.5、JN.1、およびJN.1派生株に対する中和抗体価は有意に低く、特にXECとLP.8.1が最も免疫回避性を示した。XBB.1.5三価ワクチン接種により、全ての検討変異株に対する抗体価が上昇し、免疫距離も短縮した。BA.2.3ブレイクスルー感染者では抗体価が一時的に低下後、再上昇する傾向があり、既感染による一定の交差防御が示唆された。一方、従来型Ad5-nCoVブースター接種はXDVやLP.8.1に対して有効な中和抗体を誘導できなかった。結論JN.1派生株は従来株よりも免疫回避性が高いが、ハイブリッド免疫は一定の交差防御を与え、XBB三価ワクチンは依然として有効性を示すことから、更新ワクチン普及までの間は接種継続が推奨される。
