雪の多い江原道(カンウォンド)には雪と氷をテーマにしたさまざまなイベントが開かれています。中でも、2003年にスタートした華川(ファチョン)で開かれるヤマメ祭りは韓国を代表する冬のフェスティバルです。外国人観光客を含め、毎年100万人以上が訪れる華川ヤマメ祭りには冬ならではの楽しいイベントが繰り広げられます。凍った川でのヤマメ釣り、そり、氷上サッカー、スケートなど、韓国の冬がいっそう楽しくなる華川への旅に出かけます。
