中国经济曾以令人目眩的速度持续增长了数十年，经济总量进入世界前列。但是，近十余年来，经济增长逐年下降。今天，经济学者和观察家几乎毫无例外地认为中国经济不但雄风不再，而且“徘徊在一场危机的边缘”（保罗·克鲁格曼）。企业家普遍对未来没有信心，整个社会开始陷入一种焦虑、失望状态。 目前这种令人担忧的困境，从政策、政治、结构上看，主要原因是什么？需要做出什么改变，中国经济才能恢复活力？ 经济的下滑可能有着怎样的政治含义，是否会导致政权危机和民主转型的契机？《中国民主季刊》邀请了几位专家学者，就这些问题进行了以下笔谈。
