摘要：汉人和各少数民族，命中注定要永远当邻居。我的希望是，中原的掌权者在和少数民族打交道时，能够做到以诚相待，以理服人。只有这样，汉人和各少数民族才能够创造出一个共同的美好未来。 胡平是中国民主运动最杰出、多产的思想家之一。他的新书《要得公道，打个颠倒：中国民族问题与民主转型》2021年10月由台湾渠成文化公司出版。这是一部文集，收入了胡平从1997年到2021年发表的四十余遍有关中国民族问题与民主转型的文章。和胡平的十多部其它著作一样，《要得公道，打个颠倒》对中国民主运动面临的一些重大课题进行了理性、细致的分析，是一本难得的好书。 胡平具体分析了近年里的诸多民族冲突，也对苏联的解体进行了理论探讨。他还详细介绍了在印度的藏人居住区和藏人在境外实践民主的成就。在这些方面，我佩服胡平的功力，也同意他的结论。
