Today, I want to tell you about the storm and the early dismissal at our school. Last night, while I was in my Japanese class, I received warnings about a tropical cyclone and flooding, but I didn’t pay much attention at the time. This morning, we really experienced heavy storms. A large-scale air mass that rotates around a strong center of low atmospheric pressure, often bringing heavy rains and strong winds.洪涝 (hónglào) - Flooding. An overflow of water onto normally dry land, which can be caused by heavy rain or other factors.中秋节 (Zhōngqiūjié) - Mid-Autumn Festival. A traditional Chinese festival celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar, typically in late September or early October. It is a time for family reunions, appreciating the full moon, and eating mooncakes. The festival celebrates the harvest and the beauty of the moon.秋游 (qiūyóu) - Autumn school trip.
