There are already things you have, aren’t there? In life, we all carry responsibilities and roles. Of course, there may be times when you need to resist them, but basically, it’s about accepting them, or rather, cherishing them.Instead of constantly looking for what’s missing, you count what you already have. That’s what it means to “know sufficiency.” We were just talking about how, when you let go, new things can come in. Letting go is important—it really is. Even though it’s hard, once you finally release it, you realize it actually feels good, and you wish you had done it sooner.Maybe that’s something you learn to do by giving yourself more time to just space out, right?Seriously, yes. I really think so.When you’re exposed to too much information—like listening to someone complain for an hour—it pulls you away from yourself. You start to feel like you’re disappearing, being filled with nothing but negative words. Processing all of that becomes overwhelming, and you lose touch with who you are. That’s why it’s so important to have time to do nothing, to stop taking in information, and to face yourself. To just look at what’s around you. Then you can start to see what you really need and what you don’t.Wow, isn’t that actually a kind of survival skill? A vital way of living.Exactly—it’s teaching us a way of life. Amazing, isn’t it?Yes, I think so too.Though maybe if we listened to this again a year from now, we’d wonder, “What on earth were we talking about?” (laughs)I’m sure I’ll think that way!Still, for the way you’re living now, Aoi, that perspective feels very necessary. And it might be something other people really need too.Yes, I think you’re right.I never thought about it much before, but maybe spacing out is how I balance myself. Saying it out loud now makes me want to consciously make more time to do nothing. That’s interesting. It really is.It’s like we got a glimpse of Aoi’s philosophy of life today.A little different from usual, right?Yes, definitely different, and really interesting.Well, your usual stories are a bit too niche to share openly anyway. And honestly, sometimes I don’t even know what I’m saying myself. It might sound completely incomprehensible. Really, I often think, “What on earth am I even talking about?”But maybe that’s why I find it fun. And today, Aoi, you were really interesting.Yes, very interesting. So, we’d like to continue these meandering conversations with you again next time.Thank you very much for today, Aoi.Please come again.Thank you so much.
