如果用噬菌体来对抗疑难细菌性感染，那它和抗生素/抗菌感染药物相比又有哪些优缺点呢？ 目前美国国防部和FDA已经开始支持噬菌体的临床应用，英国也跟美国联合采用了工程噬菌体积极广泛开展临床实验。而我们中国开展的一些相关研究也始终没有断过，对此，华大也在进行积极研究，希望通过努力在未来找到一条适合于在今天抗感染药物之外的另外一条生物抗感染之路。
