很多女性有过这样的体验，明明只是表达善意的微笑，或者那天恰好心情不错多聊了会儿，却被身边某个男士误读成“对他有意思”。最近《心理科学》发表了一项研究结果，虽然从统计事实上看，男性容易高估异性对自己的性兴趣，而女性则容易低估异性对自己的性兴趣，但其背后可能有更深层的原因。之前的研究认为，这是进化论角度损失最小化倾向导致的性别差异。但最新研究表明，可能是因为投射等中介因素导致了这种感知偏差，而性别只是通过它们产生影响而已。
