本世纪初,KevinTracey等研究发现,电刺激颈部迷走神经能抑制脂多糖(LPS)诱导的炎症反应,初次揭示自主神经—免疫调节的机制。随后复旦大学曹小定教授、中国中医科学研究院朱兵研究员、上海交通大学王祥瑞教授、美国罗格斯大学LuisUlloa等分别采用不同穴位针刺方法替代迷走神经的有创直接刺激,同样获得良好的抗炎效应。近期,哈佛大学医学院马秋富教授研究团队发现针刺激活不同自主神经通路调节全身性炎症。
