成群结队迁居的朝鲜人，行走在七月间的白花花的山路上，走到望见海的时候，大家已经劳顿不堪了。他们修筑了盘山的公路，约摸七十个筑路工人经过三年的劳动，把一条新路一直拖延到山峰。山巅的对面是属于不同的承包商，他们还没能获得工作。拂晓时分，妇女们从山村出发，一走到看见海的地方，一个十六七岁的姑娘，脸色苍白的像一张白纸。他已累得筋疲力尽了，肚子痛，走不动了，净给人家找麻烦。稍歇一会儿，随后跟南宫一起赶上来吧。大伙儿，随后会来吗？会来的，会向长河穿流而来的。说说笑笑的妇女背着行李和包袱，向大海的方向走下山了。姑娘卸下包袱，蹲在草地上，十个筑路工打姑娘的面前走过，喂，怎么了？后边还会有人来吗？会有人来的。我肚子痛，随后就走，一看见夏天的海姑娘，觉得一阵头晕目眩
