ノーベル生理学・医学賞の受賞が決まった大阪大学特任教授の坂口志文氏。免疫反応の暴走を抑えるブレーキ役となる「制御性T細胞」を発見した。その研究に基づいて16年に設立された大阪大発スタートアップのレグセルは基盤技術を日本で磨いたのち、25年3月に本社を米国へ移転した。その背景を中西亜美記者に聞いた。
