Description
江戸時代に岡っ引きとして数々の難事件を解決した三河町の半七親分には、三浦さんという下谷に住む友人がいました。この三浦さんが明治になって新宿に住むようになってから、話を聞きにいってまとめた（という設定になっている）のが三浦老人昔話という短編集です。その中の作品の一つで、岡本綺堂が熟れた技術を駆使し、外連をおさえて、語り口と筋立ての面白さで先へ先へと導いてくれます。
