2001 年 3 月 19 日的《人民法院报》第二版上刊登了一篇文章，讲述的是黑龙江省大兴安岭市中级人民法院的一位法官铁面无私的故事。这位铁法官叫张福臣，1997 年，张法官负责审理一起故意杀人案。但是，这个案件中的杀人嫌疑犯竟然是自己的熟人。怎么回事呢？原来，嫌疑犯刘某是张法官亲姐姐好友的儿子，而且多年来，张法官的姐姐一直把刘某当亲儿子看待，关系特别好。而张法官从小是姐姐一手照料大的，张法官经常说：“生我是父母，养我是姐姐，姐姐对我恩重如山。”在得知刘某是杀人嫌疑犯后，姐姐含泪恳请张法官看在姐姐的情面上，给刘某留一条命在。张法官给姐姐讲法律、讲事实，但姐姐无论如何也听不进去，最后以断绝关系相要挟……
