为期九天的新财年政府财政政策与各部门开支预算辩论在3月7日结束,《联合早报》在3月8日举办了2024年财政预算案对话会。 交通部长兼财政部第二部长徐芳达、贸工部兼文化、社区及青年部政务部长刘燕玲与商界代表对话，讨论今年的财政预算案。 徐芳达说政府要助起步公司由小做大走向国际，并鼓励中小企业参与可胜任项目。 他指出，政府将鼓励淡马锡控股旗下公司，以及跟政府部门有直接来往的公司，如新加坡港务集团、樟宜机场集团和公共交通公司等，尽可能与本地中小企业合作进行项目。 此外，刘燕玲也说，许多发展成跨国企业的本地公司如本地上市公司纳峰科技（Nanofilm），它们要的不只是获得政府津贴，而是政府对它们的支持。 这场对话会由大华银行和劳动力发展局（WSG）主要赞助。这是《联合早报》第九年主办财政预算案对话会，活动首次在报业中心新落成的STUDIO+65摄影棚举办，吸引共计百名商会和企业领袖出席。 这一期的早报播客《理财万事通》推出2024年《联合早报》财政预算案对话会的播客版。See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
