在粤语里面，如果形容一个人神龙见首不见尾，经常找不到人，就会说这个人是冇尾飞堶。什么是冇尾飞堶呢？原来，堶是砖的意思。早在宋朝的时候，就有艺人表演飞堶，每当寒食节还有飞堶戏。这个飞堶的表演方式，是以绳缚着重物，上下挥动打圈，然后向目标飞去再收回来，感觉是有点像武器之中流星锤。但若这个堶没有尾，没被缚着，便会飞了出去收不回来了。所以大家就把那些整天不见踪影的人，叫做冇尾飞堶。
