粤语里面有不少歇后语，都十分生动有趣而又意味深长。例如形容一个人没什么本事，毫无强项，粤语里面会说这个人“屎坑关刀”。那么何谓屎坑关刀呢？这个其实很容易理解，屎坑，也就是茅厕。一把关刀放在茅厕里面，当然臭不可闻，所以“闻又唔得”；而茅厕地方浅窄，舞动关刀的话不但舞不起来，而且分分钟沾上黄白之物，十分恶心，所以“舞又唔得”。这把关刀既不能闻，也不能舞，闻与文同音，舞与武同音，所以一个人如果毫无本事毫无特长，那就像这把屎坑里面的关刀一样，文又唔得，武又唔得，没有一样行了。
