粤语里面形容一个人无事献殷勤，虚情假意，有个有趣的歇后语，叫“市桥蜡烛——假细心”。大家知道，市桥是我们番禺区的地名，为什么市桥的蜡烛是假细心呢？原来，在清末民初时期，当时的番禺县市桥镇有个蜡烛作坊，老板是个无良商人。为了节省成本多赚钱，他用以次充好的办法，找劣质的线料做蜡烛芯。为了不让人发现，蜡烛露出来的那一段蜡烛芯，他就用又白又细的棉纱来做。买蜡烛的人一看以为是好货，谁知回家之后一用，才发现蜡烛烧到下面就很容易熄火。因为这些蜡烛产自市桥，产量大名声坏，久而久之，就有了这一句“市桥蜡烛——假细心”了。
