1. Make a clean breast of不管是过去撒的谎，还是曾经保守的秘密，如今再也捂不住了，只能坦白交代，和盘托出。例：I decided to make a clean breast of things and admit that I was to blame.我决定坦白交代，这件事都是我不好。2. Come clean真相总是只有一个，再怎么掩盖也没有用。最后还是要老老实实地说出来。例：He's finally come clean about his role in the scandal. 他终于坦白自己跟这起丑闻有关。3. I stand corrected自己没弄明白，发现搞错了怎么办？英文有一种比较正式的说法，可以帮你自行纠正。例：I stand corrected. The meeting is on Monday, not Tuesday as I'd thought. 是我弄错了。应该是周一开会，我之前以为是周二。4. Own up (to something/to doing something)想要坦率地承认自己做错了事，应该对某件事情负责，英文可以用上这个短语。例：Why don't you just own up and hope she forgives you?你为什么不坦白，或许她会原谅你？5.
