加入“365天英语学习计划”，每天进步一点点！ 我给上高中的表弟出了一道题我问他知道名牌用英语怎么说吗他说：明牌？斗地主还要会英文吗？我还能说什么？现在的年轻人思维真开阔...是名牌不是明牌啊兄弟我决定把这篇内容分享给他首先，“品牌”英语有多种文字的表达，如：brand, trademark，make和label，那它们有什么区别呢？“名牌”又该怎么说呢？BRAND:a category of products that are all made by a particular company and all have a particular name.由某一公司生产的同一类别的，具有特定名称的产品。例句：What brand are those jeans you are wearing?你穿的牛仔裤是什么牌子的？The store sells a variety of shoe brands.这个商店销售各种品牌的鞋子。What is your favorite brand of soda?你最喜欢哪个品牌的汽水？相应地，名牌在此叫做“name-brand”。Name brand: a product that is made by a well-known company：由知名公司制造的产品；名牌产品。作为形容词，可写为：name-brand, 即为名牌的。例句：clothing stores that sell name brands at low prices.低价销售名牌产品的服装店。name-brand clothing.名牌服装。还有，在市场学（MARKETING）中提到的品牌，英文普遍使用BRAND这个词，例如：BRAND MANAGER (品牌经理)，BRAND MANANGEMENT (品牌管理)，BRAND LOYALTY (品牌忠诚度)，等等。TRADEMARK：something (such as a word) that identifies a particular company's product and cannot be used by another company without permission.商标：刻在或印在商品或包装上的,用以区别于其他同类商品的标志、记号等例句：“Dulux” is a registered trademark.“多乐士”是一个注册商标。MAKE:a group of products that are all made by a particular company and given a particular name.由某一公司生产的同一系列的，具有特定名称的产品。这里的”make”与”brand”同义。例句：The store sells computers in many different makes [=brands] and models.这个商店销售许多不同牌子和型号的电脑。“What make of car is that?” “I think it's a Ford.”“那辆车是什么牌子的？”“应该是一辆福特吧”LABEL:a name shown on clothes that indicates the store, company, or person who sold, produced, or designed the clothes .标记在服装上的名号，指出服装销售、生产或设计的公司或个人。（也就是标签上的牌子）例如：a designer label（服装方面的）名牌a fashion label时尚品牌She always wears designer label jeans.她总是穿着名牌牛仔裤。可见，当你谈到服装、时尚方面的名牌的时候，更多使用的是LABEL这个词。再举一个实例，在电影版《欲望都市》SEX AND THE CITY的开场白中，有这样的一句话：Year after year, 20-something women come to New York City in search of the two L's: Labels and love.年复一年，20多岁的年轻女子来到纽约，寻求（心中的）两个L：那就是“名牌”LABEL和“爱情”LOVE。LABEL这里指的就是名牌。
