小学館の雑誌「BE-PAL」の編集長、沢木拓也さんにインタビューした模様をお届けしています。今回は、「BE-PALが目指すもの」について伺いました。 ・BE-PALは1981年創刊（42年）・歴代編集長の思いをつなげながら、新しいものを作っていくのが使命。・キャンプを入り口に、自然を楽しむ人達を増やしてきた。・アウトドア総合雑誌のリーダーとしての自覚は、スポーツに通じるところも…。・「BE-PAL」の語源は、小学館の雑誌にはPALシリーズ（サンドレコパル・FMレコパルなど）があって、そのシリーズとして、Be動詞、ビークル（のりもの）のBを冠したもの。・創刊当時、アメリカ西海岸で流行っていたオートキャンプを取り入れたものと言われている。・これからも、読者に親しまれる雑誌づくりをしていきたい、とのことです。 See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
