But their festive foods look completely different! That's right, this week on English Cafe, John and Klim introduce various countries' "mooncakes"! From Korea's half-moon-shaped rice cakes that must be steamed with pine needles, to Japan's white dumplings representing the full moon, and Vietnam's adorable animal-shaped mooncakes that are too cute to eat—each country's "mooncakes" have their own story. There are also some traditional Chinese pastries that John completely cannot understand, which he considers "grandpa and grandma flavors"?!
