1. I wanted to buy a car because where I was studying seemed quite far away and getting on buses everyday was a bit bothersome. At that time, I was also working part-time in a local restaurant at nights and sometimes we used to finish working quite late and getting a bus to my house was a problem. 2. I stopped going out so much and was very careful with the money I spent on other things while I was saving.  3. It was an old car, but it was in good condition as he had looked after it well.
